Duties:
Our Surgical Neurophysiologists engage in assessing, mapping and monitoring central and peripheral nervous system structures and function during a wide array of procedures across the spectrum of surgical specialties to minimize the potential for devastating neurologic insult.
Requirements:
Surgical Monitoring Associates (SMA) is recruiting individuals holding advanced graduate degrees (e.g. Ph.D, ScD., Au.D, DC, M.PA) in the neurosciences, biological sciences or allied health fields, who are interested in broadening their scope of knowledge and practice, as well as taking on new clinical and intellectual challenges. SMA will pay you a full competitive salary during the fellowship training program, with a full-time career opportunity upon successful completion.
PHYSICIAN:
Remote
Neuromonitoring Physicians (RNP), a medical consulting group
supporting intraoperative neuromonitoring performed by professional
surgical neurophysiology staff at Surgical Monitoring Associates
(SMA) , Springfield, PA has employment opportunities for select MD
or DO in Neurology, Physical Medicine or Anesthesiology. RNP provides remote oversight
and consulting services in parallel with real-time on-site delivery
of neuromonitoring care by highly experienced neurophysiologists,
who interact directly with surgical and anesthesia professionals in
the operating room.
Backed by state-of-the-art
technology, RNP professionals provide a second layer of safety for
patients undergoing surgery during which the nervous system is at
risk. While experience in clinical neurophysiology or
electrodiagnostic medicine is helpful, it is not mandatory for entry
level candidates accepted into the RNP training program.
